ONEX RSIS is designed as a regional industrial and railway hub for Southeastern Europe. Its objective is to create a leading rolling stock production, MRO, upgrade, retrofit and life-cycle support center by combining Greek heavy industrial capability with international railway know-how.
The model includes SKD/CKD assembly, technology integration, personnel training, testing and commissioning, quality inspection and long-term maintenance close to operators.

ONEX is positioning its shipyards as a one-stop industrial platform for offshore wind platforms, offshore wind farm support systems and offshore support vessels. Its capabilities include shipbuilding, maintenance, heavy fabrication, logistics, supply-chain synergies and support for specialized vessels such as cable laying vessels, technical support vessels and anchor handling tug supply vessels.
This creates a natural expansion path from maritime industry into offshore renewable energy infrastructure.
ONEX also supports transportation infrastructure through digital systems and backbone networks. Its experience includes Athens Metro projects, automatic fare collection, railway backbone networks, Rododafni-Rio railway infrastructure, Athens Metro Line 4 high-level E/M design and upgrades to existing metro and suburban railway networks.
This creates a dual capability: heavy industrial support for physical transport assets and advanced digital infrastructure for the systems that operate them.
A central concept in the ONEX transportation strategy is the “Golden Link” between Elefsis and Thriasio. This connection is designed to integrate maritime access, railway transport and warehousing into one transport chain.
The model supports direct loading to the railway network, logistics cost reduction, lower environmental footprint and stronger connection to the Balkans and European corridors. It also reinforces the role of Western Attica as an industrial and logistics corridor with strategic value for trade, energy and regional connectivity.
