EBITDA in a 15-year period
ONEX Shipyards & Technologies Group is developing an integrated port and logistics platform in Elefsina (Greece), designed to transform Western Attica into a leading maritime, trade, and logistics hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. The initiative combines intermodal port operations interconnected with the national railroad and highway system, logistics infrastructure, industrial services, and strategic maritime support together with shipyard facilities into a single multipurpose ecosystem. This is one of the clearest expressions of the ONEX master strategy: to create a Port-Logistics and Shipyard dual use Hub capable of serving both commercial and military needs.

The proposed initiative aims to develop a modern all-purpose Port Complex in Elefsina, supporting Western-aligned supply chains, maritime security, industrial resilience and regional logistics connectivity across the Eastern Mediterranean.
The development plan envisions an all-purpose port complex incorporating with the existing shipyard facilities (DFC investment), adjacent to existing city of Elefsina Port, servicing naval and commercial vessels, including container ships, bulk, general cargo and car carriers.
Our Vision is to make Western Attica the leading integrated logistics, industrial and maritime trade hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Direct in-house connection to the national railroad network, enabling seamless cargo movement between Greece and the wider Europe through the Vertical Corridor.
Direct access to the national highway system, integrating the port with the EU Class-A E-Road network (E94/ E962), supporting efficient overland transport and supply-chain continuity.
Private-sector operational model, delivering higher service efficiency, improved turnaround times, and full operational transparency.
Market-leading position in bulk carrier handling, effectively functioning as a monopoly within its segment.
No urban-area operating constraints - unlike operations in nearby facilities - allowing unrestricted handling of Ro-Ro cargo, military cargo/personnel, chemicals, and other specialized or regulated cargo categories.
First port in the region equipped with Shore-Side Electricity (Cold Ironing), implementing the zero emissions framework.
More than 400,000 m² of available space dedicated to supporting infrastructure, ensuring scalability for logistics, storage, value-added services, and future expansion.
A total initial investment of €440 mn is planned, including investment for dredging, marine works, and port infrastructure, and for cargo handling equipment.
First 15 years of operation estimates projection:
50% EBITDA.
ONEX applies conservative operational assumptions for its long-term financial projections, including a phased cargo ramp-up strategy aligned with prevailing regional market conditions. First-year throughput is projected at approximately 500,000 TEUs, representing a measured initial share of the broader regional cargo market.
