(Glonatech S.A) is a nanotechnology company offering nanoscience and nanotechnology solutions, products & services to global product manufacturers. Glonatech is a member of the ONEX Group, established in October 2009 in Athens.
Glonatech possesses its own production unit in Greece that offers a wide range of nanotechnology products, including multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), functionalized nanotubes, resin dispersions and
polymer masterbatches.
Our scientific and technical team possesses several years of experience in the production and handling of nanoparticles. The incorporation of the company’s MWCNTs into polymeric matrices lead to
remarkable en-hancements in the mechanical, electrical or other properties of the final materials due to the company’s pro-prietary synthesis, processing and dispersion techniques.
Glonatech constantly refines its technologies for targeted production of customized nanomaterials andpar-ticipates in research projects related to applications of nanostructured carbon, such as marine
coatings, electronics, materials for transportation, aviation topcoats and plastics nanocomposites.
Glonatech’s mission is to become the leading supplier of nanomaterials and nanostructured products worldwide.
Glonatech’s Milestones:
October 2009: ONEX management decides to invest in Nanotechnology and establishes Global Nanotechnologies S.A.
October 2010: We design and develop the first pilot reactor for laboratory scale production of carbon nanotubes with novel proprietary methodology.
November 2011: Inauguration of the company’s own laboratory at the Technology and Science Park of National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSRD), Hellas
February 2012: Certification of our MWCNTs by independent research institutes, namely the University of Bordeaux, France and the NCSR “Demokritos”, Hellas
August 2012: Development and standardization of functionalization and dispersion protocols that enable incorporation of MWCNTs in resins and thermoplastics, both in research and industrial scale
December 2014: Operational launch of Glonatech’s large-scale production unit at the Industrial Area of
Lamia (VIPE), Lamia.
